KOCH VISION, IN COLLABORATION WITH FANGORIA MAGAZINE,
ANNOUNCES THE DVD RELEASE OF
FANGORIA BLOOD DRIVE II
Hosted by Mistress Juliya
GET MORE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS WITH EIGHT OF
AMERICA'S BEST SHORT HORROR FILMS
Port Washington, NY (August 22, 2005) - On the heels of the enormously successful
inaugural Fangoria Blood Drive contest and DVD release in 2004, aspiring American
horror filmmakers were given another chance to submit their original entries into the
second nationwide search for the Best Short Horror Film. KOCH Vision and the Starlog
Group, publisher of Fangoria Magazine, are proud to announce the release of Fangoria
Blood Drive II
hosted by metal maven Mistress Juliya of Fuse TV's Uranium and Slave
to the Metal. Fangoria Blood Drive II includes the eight winning short films as well as
exclusive behind-the-scenes bonus features with Bruce Campbell (The Evil Dead,
Bubba Ho-tep) and KNB EFX (Kill Bill, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate
Events, Scream). Fangoria Blood Drive II will be available on DVD on October 4, 2005.
The dealer order cut off date is September 6, 2005.
The Fangoria Blood Drive II competition ran from October 31, 2004 to midnight April
15, 2005 and resulted in a fifty percent increase in submissions. Aspiring filmmakers
once again outdid themselves by submitting a mind-boggling array of spine-tingling,
blood-curdling and hair-raising films.
"We were all overjoyed by the amazing quality of this year's submissions," says
FANGORIA editor Tony Timpone, a co-producer and co-creator of the BLOOD DRIVE
series. "The fans really came through with an eclectic bunch of shorts, from the cerebral
to the visceral. These amateur filmmakers represent the new future of fear. It is an honor
to showcase their work on this second content-packed DVD. The BLOOD DRIVE is
really growing into something special and something scary."
